Joy for Jones as Reds shock Motherwell

STUART Jones was the Llanelli hero as Jim Gannon suffered the worst possible start to his Motherwell reign, the Scottish Premier League side suffering a shock first-leg 1-0 defeat in the Europa League first qualifying round.

Jones capitalised on some poor defending midway through the first half to head home a famous winner for the Reds at Airdrie's Excelsior Stadium.
